Republic Bank Presents Sponsorship Cheque for 2007 to Angel Harps

Monday, July 16th, 2007. -- A cheque for EC$35,000 was on last Monday presented to the Angel Harps Steel Orchestra by corporate sponsor Republic Bank Grenada Limited. The presentation, which took place during a rehearsal of the Junior Orchestra, at the Harps' pan house at Tanteen marked the 26th consecutive year of the band and the bank's sponsorship relationship.

Making the presentation of behalf of Republic Bank was Mr. Mc Kie Griffith, Human Resources Manager while Gerry Tamar and David Seales accepted the cheque on behalf of Angel Harps Steel Orchestra.

Republic Bank and the Angel Harps have been able to play a vital role in youth development - both in the community and in several schools in the St. George's area - through the orchestra's annual Learners Programme, which has been in existence since 1989.

The TA Marryshow Community College, Grenada School of Nursing, St. Louis RC Girls school as well as the Anglican High School and the St. George's University have all benefited from their association with Republic Bank Angel Harps.
