Scholar is Calypso Monarch

Monday 14th Aug. 2006 - Finley "Scholar" Jeffrey last night successfully defended his Calypso Monarch title when he won the crown for the second consecutive year. Scholar scored a total of 777 points.

In second position was Black Wizard with 771 points followed by the Ajamu on 760 points in third position. Fourth position went to Biko who scored 745 points and in fifth position was Bolotie with 732 points.

Randy Isaac's two songs "20 Years Not Enough" and "Propaganda" could only take him to 6th place with 731 points and Teacher Eddie followed in 7th position. A disappointing Mr. X finished in 8th position with 703 points while Sour Serpent and Sherene finished tied for 9th position with 676 points.
