Republic Bank Angel Harps announces the commencement of the orchestra's 2008 Learners Programme on Monday 15th September, 2008 at 5.00 pm at the Angel Harps Pan House in Tanteen. The Learners Programme is for persons who want to learn to play the steel pan and to play with Republic Bank Angel Harps, the 2008 Panorama champions. The programme is open to persons aged 8 and above and is geared towards developing new pannists for the Angel Harps Junior Programme as well as for the Angel Harps Senior Orchestra. Monday 15th September is REGISTRATION DAY and parents and guardians of children under the age of 17 years are asked to make a special effort to accompany their children to the Pan House on that day. Registration begins at 5.00 pm. Registration fee is EC$30.00 per person and pan sticks will be available from the band at an additional cost of not more than EC$20.00. Instruments available are tenor, double tenor, double second, double guitar, tenor bass,(six) bass, triple guitar. The Learner's Programme runs until Easter 2009 after which graduation to the Junior Development programme or to the senior orchestra may be possible. |
