Pan Wizards plans magic in December
November 17, 2008 - River Road Steel Orchestra, SUZUKI Pan Wizards, is planning to bring a little Christmas Magic to the children of three Homes and the seniors of one home for the elderly in St. George's in December.
On December 7th, the band plans to visit the children at the Queen Elizabeth and the Dorothy Hopkin homes in Tempe to bring some Christmas cheer. During these visits the young members of Pan Wizards will interact with the children and give them a treat with steelband music, toys and food hampers.
On December 14th, the Wizards will visit two more homes in the south of the island - the Bel Air Home and the Home for the Elderly.
In addition to this, the band also plans to hold a grand Christmas concert at their Pan Yard in River Road on Sunday 21st December 2008 from 4.30pm in the afternoon. They will also use this event to distribute gifts to the children in the River Road community.
The concert will feature steelpan music from Suzuki Pan Wizards and other steelbands plus music from DJ Black Storm. The concert is a charitable event and all money raised will go to the needy of the River Road community.
