Caripan

About Caripan

The Caribbean Steelpan Association (CARIPAN) was formed in 1999 and is an association of Caribbean Steelbands Associations. Headquartered in Port of Spain, Trinidad, CARIPAN's members are Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Panama, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & The Grenadines, Trinidad & Tobago and the US Virgin Islands.

Below are the stated objectives of Caripan together with a list of the Caripan Executives that were elected in 1999 to serve the regional Pan body.

Caripan was instrumental in organising the first Caribbean Panorama in Grenada in 2001 and a Junior Caribbean Steelpan Music Festival in Antigua in 2003. Since then, there has been no regional initiatives coming from Caripan and it is now (2008) felt that the Association may well be dormant or non-existent.

Caripan's registered office is located at
NCC Compound, Grand Stand,
Queen's Park Savannah,
Port of Spain, Trinidad

Their mailing address was listed as:

C/o PanTrinbago,
P O Box 910,
