About Pan Pioneers Productions

 

Pan Pioneers Productions is a non profit organization founded in 2001 with the main objectives of;

• Recording and archiving the history of the steelpan/steelband movement in Grenada.
• To promote the development of the steelpan culture through the organization of concerts, competitions and seminars.

 

The Directors of Pan Pioneers Production are Messrs. Gerrard Tamar and Mr. David Seales who between themselves have over 50 years experience in the steelband field.

Pan Pioneers Production successfully ran a series of one hour educational programmes on GBN Radio and Good News FM highlighting the birth and development of the steelband in Grenada. Pan Pioneers Production also co-ordinated the “Pan Splash” at the Grenada Sailing Festival for the past three years.

For the Grenada Steelpan Music Festival, Pan Pioneers Production have appointed Messrs. Andy Chichester, Cecil Noel and Carlyle Roberts, people who are well known for their contributions to the development of the steel band movement, to co-ordinate the Festival.

Pan Pioneers Production plan to follow up the Minor Categories 2008 competitions with a competition for full Orchestras in 2009.
